The Kruger Street Toy & Train Museum served as the host site for thevery first Marx Toy & Train Collectors National Convention on June 4 to 6, 1999. The first ever event, slated to become an annual occurrence, featured a swap meet, along with a visit by former Marx model room employee Harold Loy. Loy reminisced with collectors about his days at Marx, along with his time spent at Ideal Toys and Deluxe Reading. Convention attendees came from both near and far, to buy, sell, trade, and swap stories about those great Marx toys we all love. Plans are already underway for next year’s convention!
