A Salute to Pittsburgh, Star Wars at 30 exhibits at the Toy Museum!!

Just in time for the warmer weather, the Toy Museum is hosting an exhibit which showcases our neighbor to the North, the Steel City! See trains and toys related to Pittsburgh, sports memorabilia and collectibles from their teams, and more! The Pittsburgh exhibit will run from April 13 to July 8, 2007!

Also coming to the museum starting May 11th, we will be hosting the exhibit “Star Wars at 30” in honor of the 30th anniversary of the original Star Wars movie (yes, 1977 was THIRTY years ago already!). See the toys and action figures that excited a generation, and also see rare and unusual foreign Star Wars toys, knockoff toys, and more! Three area Star Wars toy collectors, Eric Minor, Steve Weimer, and Kristian White, have put this terrific showing together for us! This exhibit will run through July 31, 2007.

And just announced, there will be a Grand Opening party for the Star Wars at 30 exhibit on Sunday, June 17, 2007 from 2 PM to 5 PM! We know, that is in the middle of the exhibit’s run, but if George Lucas can start with Episode 4, why can’t we do this? Stop by and meet the 3 men responsible for the exhibit, and more!
