Brief History of the Eibel Corporation

The Eibel Corporation was formed on March 18, 1997 with the expressed purpose of purchasing the property at 144 Kruger Street in Wheeling, West Virginia and developing that property into a toy and train museum.  The Eibel Corporation was incorporated on May 9, 1997, officially becoming a West Virginia Corporation.

The founders of the Eibel corporation were Allan Raymond Miller, who serves as president and as the full-time curator of the Kruger Street Toy & Train Museum; Leona Ann Miller, who serves as the Corporation's secretary/treasurer; and Allan Robert Miller, who is our chairman of the board of directors. All involved are residents of Wheeling, West Virginia.

The Eibel corporation currently boasts two separate yet related business interests:
  1. The Kruger Street Toy & Train Museum located on the upper two floors of 144 Kruger Street, houses an impressive collection of antique toys, trains, games, and playthings of all varieties.  The museum also features informational displays on American toy manufacturing companies, toymaking methods, and toy research and development.  An operating 0-gauge train layout, located on the building's third floor, an a full service gift shop on the second floor, with a unique selection of merchandise, add to the enjoyment of museum visitors. The museum is fully ADA accessible, and there is ample free onsite parking for both cars and buses.
  2. Elizabeth's Upholstery, on the first floor of 144 Kruger Street, provides furniture reupholstery ranging from antique furnishings to restaurant seating.  Assistance with selection and ordering of materials and fabrics is also provided.

As our philosophy state, "We at the Eibel Corporation truly believe that all of us are children at heart.  We created this Museum to help you find that child within and make good memories that last forever."
