Loo the museum cat
Loo came to us in 2013. At that time there was an independent film being made here. The crew filmed one day here, one day in Moundsville, and then one day here. The day they were filming here this little kitten came running out of one of their trucks and into the museum. Our curator looked for an hour for a home for him before deciding he was home. He was only four or five months old.
Since arriving he has had people send him gifts, come to visit him from all over the country, and has even been the feature of an article in Catster magazine.
Unfortunately, Loo’s heart, kidneys and liver gave out on him September 29, 2023. He was a great mascot for our museum.
